Reapplying filters to your reports and widgets every time can be time-consuming. Instead, Freshdesk lets you clone any curated report or widget you want, customize it by applying required filters and then save it accordingly. 

 

A quick guide to saving a report:

  • Login to your Freshdesk account as an Administrator/Supervisor.

  • Go to Admin > Analytics and select any report.

  • Click the Clone icon, give it a name to clone the report.

  • The funnel icon will allow you to add filters at the report level. These filters will be applied to all the widgets in this report. Click Add Filter, select the required filter options and hit Apply.

  • Click on the Save button near the report title to save your changes. You can choose to undo all the changes you made by clicking on the 'Discard' button adjacent to the 'Save' button.

  • Click on the 'Edit report' icon to rename your report and to set the visibility (you can choose to save it just for yourself or for everyone on the helpdesk).

  • The report you just created will be available on the Analytics home page. 

A quick guide to saving a widget:

  • Login to your Freshdesk account as an Administrator/Supervisor.

  • Go to Admin > Analytics and select any report.

  • Click on any widget within your report. 

  • Add or remove any metrics, filters, and group-by. Enter the metrics and the corresponding date dimension you've included in your widget under the 'Date Range Dimension'. This will ensure that the data points of the metrics fall under the selected date range. 

  • Hit 'Apply'.

  • Click on the 'Save' dropdown and 

    • Choose 'Save' to update the widget configuration in the current report.

    • Choose 'Save as' to create a copy of this widget. Give it a name and add it any other required report under the 'Add to Reports' section.

  • The widget you just created will be available in the corresponding report page(s).
